Thought of some books I read as a youngster (ie under 18) that had a big influence on me.
-
Bruce Lee biography. Must have been Larry's – didn't really know who he was, so not sure why I read it, but fantastic to find out about his incredible skills (the one inch punch that was legendary), as well as his philosophies, and his mission to bring it to the West.
-
John Berger – Ways of seeing. Was curious about a book full of unrelated photos and images. Can't remember much about it, except that seeing is not believing.
-
Kids' eco book - don't remember the title but completely brought me over to the environmentalist cause.
-
Civilized Man's 8 deadly sins (Konrad Lorenz) – one I pulled off my Mum's shelf. Again, consciousness enlarging. Same old issues come round again and again, of course.
